8th Cub Scout Goodwill Camporee, 1-10 December 2014, Shizuoka and Tokyo, Japan
In partnership with Shizuoka Prefecture Council of the Scout Association of Japan, The Singapore Scout Association (SSA) is proud to organize the 8th Cub Scout Goodwill Camporee from Monday 1 December 2014 to Wednesday 10 December 2014 in Shizuoka and Tokyo, Japan.
The Theme is
"鳥は浮気し" (Pronounced “Kachou Fuugetsu" and literally translates to “花鳥風月”). This relates to learning about oneself through experiencing the beauty of nature.
The Objectives are as follows:-
a) To promote World Friendship by conducting joint outdoor Scouting activities
b) To create opportunities for the sharing of cultures through interactions and bonding activities after sunset
c) To raise awareness on human impact on the environment
d) To learn about the history of Scouting in Japan and the World Scout Jamboree
A contingent consisting of 29 members from the Singapore Scout Association will be participating in the Camporee.
7 Adult Leaders (5F, 2M), 7 Service Scouts (7M), 15 Cub Scouts (2F, 13M)
