Day 1: Ice Breakers & Ice Skating

Group Photo at Changi Airport
As soon as our flight touched down, our day began. Upon arrival we met up with our guide and Japan Scout counterpart, Matsuda San. Then we went to collect our luggage and embarked on a 2 hour bus ride to the Asagiri Activity Centre. Through the ride it was fun to have a look at the vast Japanese highways, buildings and landscape.

On the way to Asagiri Activity Center for our 1st stay in Japan, we were allowed a midway toilet break and visited a local snack shop to grab some tidbits and hot drinks. The cubs were amazed at the wide selection of Kit-Kat flavours available.

Fun facts!
After boarding the bus again, our tour guide taught us how to say a simple greeting of hello which goes "Konnichiwa" as she shared a few fun facts about Shikouzka Prefecture which is the town that we will be staying at.

After arriving at Asagiri Activity Center, we put our luggage in the orienteering room and went for lunch at the cafeteria, it was indeed a sumptuous and splendid meal of authentic Japanese Food!!
